Right now, I’m looking out my living room window and all I can see are cherry blossoms. Miles and miles of cherry blossoms. Okay, that’s a bit of an exaggeration. There’s really only one blossoming tree right now but still. Cherry blossoms, y’all. That means Spring is really on the way, which means sunnier days, daffodils, and Moisture Festival, the month-long Spring celebration at Hale’s Palladium.
Update: Today only (3/22/12) You can get half-price tickets! Just use the code “laughter” at checkout.
Moisture Festival is the world’s largest Comedy/Varietè show. Bringing a Vaudevillian feel to today’s world, Moisture Festival will knock your socks off. Each act has 3-15 minutes to perform, ensuring a fast-paced, exciting, and hilarious bit of entertainment for fun-seekers everywhere. I attended Moisture Festival on Saturday night and cannot begin to describe to y’all how much fun I had. The late night show boasts a bit of risque humor and plenty of sparkle to dazzle and delight you. The best part? Each night is a little different, with rotating acts, so you never know exactly what you’ll get. When I attended, for example, I was treated to the comedic stylings of Amy G, acrobalancing magic from Dr. Calamari and Acrophilia, hilarious and mind-blowing slight of hand by Gazzo, and learned the musical life story of Stevie Coyle, to name a few.
Check out Moisture’s Facebook page and buy your tickets soon. At $20-$22 a ticket, it’s a bit of a splurge, but I promise you it is money well-spent. And what better way to celebrate spring than treating yourself to our city’s greatest variety show? The festival runs from March 15-April 8 and shows sell out quickly. Grab your favorite friends and go. You’ll be so glad you did.
Love it so much – hope to go back a second time before it’s over.
I keep hearing rave reviews- I definitely need to see it in person this year!
