As I type this, the clouds are starting to part. Is it too soon to get excited that it’ll be sunny for an entire weekend? Probably, but if I squint my eyes I might have a fair shot. Now if only someone can do something about this cold. Then we’d really be on to something here. Okay, alright, the weekend:
-I dare you to say you don’t like pinball. For all those enthusiasts who bang their crotches on machines, the Beard & Stache Fest Pinball Tourney is this Sunday at Shorty’s.
-If you rather dance for a good cause, here’s your chance. Buy a ticket or pay what you want to donate. Either way, you’ll sweat your butt off to help Diabetes research this Saturday.
-Zumba doesn’t seem to be going anywhere, so why don’t you join last year’s fitness fad at Phinney Neighborhood Center this Friday at 10am.
-This fair be the greatest thing ever. Volunteering is free, baby!
-Love Disney? Love bacon? Love big gay shows? Then you won’t want to miss this Fairy Tale Disney Bacon Strip, happening this Saturday. Wear a costume and your ticket price goes down to $8.
-Who doesn’t love Trivia Nights. Well, Capitol Hill is taking it up a notch this Saturday with a Trivia Night Crawl, where you go to 3 different bars to compete for one ultimate (we hope) prize. Get yo’ tickets now!
-Tis the season to start thinking about your garden. This plant sale looks like a real winner!
-And when you’re done doing everything on this list, head to the Loyal Heights Community Center on Sunday. You can stuff your face at this all-you-can-eat pancake, eggs, and sizzling sausage fest—all for just $5 at the door ($4 in advance).
That’s it folks. Enjoy what I’m hoping to be the last few weekends of winter. As always, if you have something to share we want to hear from you! Comment below about what your weekend plans are, leave us a message on Facebook, or follow us on Twitter. Have fun!
