Whew, so it’s our first Yay-Today weekend back and boy do I need it. Anyone else feel like a zombie at work/school/wherever? I’m not gonna jibber jabber on and on, so let’s just get with it okay? Okay! Here’s your weekend:
-Nothing to do tonight? Go to Annex Theatre Company for full-throated sounds (that’s what they said, for real), video hijinks, spoken word and whatever other musings they have up their sleeve. Sounds fun!
-Smash Putt is back! I loved this so much last year. It’s in an old prison. It’s dark and sexy. It’s miniature golf on punk.
-Remember the Curio Confections/Bushwick Book Club charity event that Aubrey gushed over the other day? Well, she has good reason. They are both awesome. Go go go!
-Don’t like pants? Like riding the Light Rail? You’re in luck! No Pants Seattle is this Sunday. Here’s your chance to show off those hairy legs before you put them in hiding till May.
-How have I still not been to Century Ballroom yet?! They seem to do everything I love, all the damn time. See The Princess Bride for free at their every other Sunday event, View and Chew.
-Just added! FREE Massages at the brand-new Discovery Point School of Massage in Capitol Hill!
-NERD ALERT! 60 writers will be participating in a mega-reading at Town Hall on Saturday, January 7 at 7:30pm. If your idea of a swingin’ Saturday night involves a heavy dose of the written word (raising hand), you can find some kindred spirits at this FREE event.
And there you go. That’s enough writing for my foggy brain. But if you really love writing then have at it. Comment below with what you’ll be doing, join us on Facebook or follow us on Twitter. Come on, you know you wanna.
