Hey ya’ll. The Yay-Today gang is on vacay until the new year, but since we know that you still love to read us daily we didn’t want to leave you hanging. That’s why every day this week we’re bringing back some of our favorite posts. We hope you enjoy them as much as we enjoyed writing them. Happy Holidays from all of us!
If you’re reading this then I know who you are and you probably have at the very least, 10-20 mason jars lying around, or being used in your cupboards for everything from jam to pickled carrots to paper clips. But what if I told you, my dear Seattle friend, that you can do so much more! Since there’s nothing exciting on the calendar for today I thought I’d share the link love and give you a good list to get your DIY Mason Jar thang on.
-Forget about putting pot in those tiny jars – this totally fab DIY sewing containers is so easy to make!
-Okay, so I’ll never do this soap dispenser experiment but it’s friggin’ cool as shit and only requires a good drill and some smelly epoxy. Be gone with those outdated Target dispensers once and for all!
-So, you’ve all seen this one but it has to go in here for the super DIYer. If only I had enough drive to actually do this kind of stuff, I totally would hang thischandelier above our vintage farm table. But alas, we’ve had paint samples for 2 months and they haven’t seen the light of day so I doubt this shit will ever happen.
-Why deal with all that cleaning when you can use your mason jar as a blender? Mothereffin’ genius ya’ll.
-Since we’re talking food here, throw out those BPAunfriendly plastics and use your canning jars for lunch instead. I love all these meal ideas by The Decorated Cookie.
-And if you want to do something I’ve actually attempted and people told me they really, truly enjoyed, then try making cakes in a jar. There are also pies in a jar, bread in a jar and (eek) ice cream in a jar!
-Finally, if you don’t have the time to take multiple trips to Home Depot looking for the cheapest wire doodad for those pretty hanging mason jars, then just fork over a mere $18 and have a kit sent to you! That’s probably worth its cost in gas alone if you ask me.
