Need a recap of the stuff we already mentioned this week AND more hidden gems? Well, you’re in luck. That’s exactly what I’m gonna give you:
-Shop local, wait in a long line for free goodie bags and win some trinkets on the UCU blog (if you act today). Urban Craft Uprising will be here for our holiday shopping Saturday and Sunday!
-A holiday tradition in our family of 2 – the Great Figgy Pudding event is great for families, couples, caroler enthusiasts and practically anyone in the world who isn’t a Scrooge. The carolers begin at 6:15 (leaving you plenty of time to enjoy happy hour and really get your sing on).
-Start the holiday shopping with a bang (or buzz). Go to Babeland for some special happy time treats for you or your lover or your lover’s lover – and when you go on Saturday from 1-4pm enjoy complimentary treats from the oh-my-I-think-this-homemade-marshmallow-just-came-in-my-mouth goodness that hails from the uberly delicious Street Treats truck.
-Sales are good. Big sales are better! Prairie Underground isn’t just giving you 50-80% off last season’s hoodies, leggings and hipster dresses. They’re also giving 20% of every sale towards BABES: a non-profit that provides counseling and support to women with HIV/AIDS. Go this weekend!
-Don’t forget to give a coat and get a pizza.
-And while we’re riding the do good onto others train, when you go see the Rat City Girls this weekend in Ballard don’t forget to bring your canned goods. Each one you bring is a $1 off your ticket.
That’s all, folks. If you haven’t done so already, leave us a comment telling us things, like us on Facebook or follow us on Twitter. It’s bound to make your Yay-Today experience even more Yay-Todayier!
