So yeah, somehow I blinked and September is almost over. I don’t know how that happened, but here we are. Thankfully, we’ve got another action-packed weekend full of fabulous ways to make you smile for a solid 72 hours.

- Sure, it’s still September and we’re nowhere near Germany, but we can still celebrate Oktoberfest like rockstars. Fremont Oktoberfest starts today and lasts all weekend. Entrance to the village is FREE, but you do have to pay for the beer. But really, who minds paying for beer?
- Also brought to you by the letter “B”: books. The Friends of the Seattle Public Library are hosting their Fall Book Sale all weekend as well. Go buy cheap books! (Also, for Kindle lovers like me, you can now rent e-books from the library that work with your Kindle!)
- Grab your bocce balls and get ready to carb load- Fiesta Italiana takes over Seattle Center this weekend. Admission, which includes games, concerts and cooking demos is FREE, and I heard they have a killer food court this year.
- Remember how excited we got about The Neptune Theater reopening? The big reveal happens this Sunday, September 25 at 6:30pm. Dress up in your finest drag queen garb, watch the anchor drop and then go Time Warp the night away at the Rocky Horror Extravaganza.
- On Saturday, you can get in to a whole slew of local museums for FREE courtesy of Smithsonian Magazine! Check out The Burke, Bellevue Kids Museum, SAM, Bellevue Arts Museum, the Wing Luke, or drive up to Bellingham and visit the Whatcom Museum, which I hear is awesome. Get your FREE ticket here.
With all that going on, I don’t know where I’ll find the time to prep next week’s posts (which I’m pretty excited about- look for a sweet GIVEAWAY on Monday). But because I love you guys, I’ll make it happen. Know of something happening this weekend or next that we should be talking about? Tell us in the comments below, post on our facebook wall (or whatever they’re calling it now) or tweet your little heart out. Oh, and have a fantastic weekend. You deserve it.
