There’s a lot to love about the Richard Hugo House. Not only is it an invaluable resource for any aspiring wordsmith (they offer amazing, affordable writing classes, free weekly drop-in writers’ circles for adults and teens and open mics galore), they also host one-of-a-kind events that you just don’t find anywhere else. Case in point: tonight’s Literary Trivia Night, where English majors whose parents’ told us we were wasting our college education finally get a chance to shine. While we drink $2 Raniers.
You can’t possibly be doing anything more interesting than this tonight, so here’s the scoop: Literary Trivia Night is totally FREE. You just pay for cheap drinks (the aforementioned $2 Raniers and $4 well drinks). Doors open at 6:30pm, tonight, August 24 and you can have up to 5 book nerds per team. The actual trivia, which is four rounds of super nerdy trivia about books, authors, and all things literary, starts at 7:00pm.
This is the second time Richard Hugo House has hosted Literary Trivia Night. I’m hoping for a big turnout so this becomes a regular event. In fact, if I hear about a repeat in September, I’d love to get a team of yay-today readers together to represent. Want to come nerd out with me and flex our literary muscles?
