This weekend is shaping up to be the stuff that dreams are made of. Okay, that might be a bit of what my high school English teacher referred to as “purple prose,” but I’m really excited about this edition of the Weekend Round-Up. This weekend has it all- block parties, dining deals, street festivals, flea markets, free concerts and more. And we’ll have some sunshine, so you might even get a tan while you’re doing all this fun stuff. Here’s a list of our favorite weekend goings-on, but remember to like our facebook page and follow us on twitter for even more alerts to fun, cheap stuff to fill your calendar.

- South Lake Union is starting the weekend a little early on Friday with the SLU Block Party. Go hang out in Allentown and enjoy cheap eats, free music, wine tasting (8 tastes for $15!), a beer garden and a live burger cook-off to decide where the best burger in one of Seattle’s best culinary hot spots resides. End the night with a free screening of Scott Pilgrim vs. The World.
- Over at Seattle Center, KEXP is hosting another Concert at the Mural Friday at 6:00. See Seapony, Gold Leaves and Math and Physics Club play for FREE!
- Check out the Greenlake Art Walk. Go for the art, stay for the FREE dance lessons, music and snacks.
- Not free, but $20 for a guaranteed good time isn’t too shabby- the SAM Remix is happening, and it’s outdoors at Olympic Sculpture Park. Go eat, drink, dance, create some art and party in the park. Even if you can’t make it, be sure to follow @IHeartSam on twitter- a certain somebody (me) will be guest tweeting for them between 10:00 and 11:00pm.
- Start Saturday by doing some budget-friendly shopping at Seattle’s newest indoor flea market over at The Century Ballroom. Score vintage goodies, handmade trinkets, and all kinds of good stuff from local businesses and independent artists.
- Down in South Seattle, Village Green Perennial Nursery is hosting an Ice Cream Social. Go for the FREE Full Tilt Ice Cream, stay for the savory snacks and music- also free.
- Saturday’s best dining deal can be found at Pike Place Market, where Tom Douglas & company is hosting another Salmon-chanted Evening. $15 (proceeds go to the Seattle Parks Department) buys you a gourmet salmon dinner and an amazing view.
- But make sure you’re still hungry Sunday for the 12th Avenue Neighborhood Festival. Some of Capitol Hill’s finest restaurants (Skillet, Poquitos, Tavern Law, Lark and more!) will be selling food for $5 or less and local businesses like Barre 3, Oola Distillery and Bootyland will be showcasing their goods and offering free demos.
Phew- that’s all I’ve got so far. Did I forget something? Let me know in the comments below!
