Queen Anne (where I live) and Ballard (where most of my friends seem to move to eventually) are two of my favorite neighborhoods in Seattle. Both are having excellent sidewalk sales this weekend. Do I take this as a sign that the universe loves me and wants to help me find a cute dress to wear to the upcoming onslaught of summer weddings I’m attending in the next six weeks? I say yes, and I accept the retail-themed-hug.
Hilltop retailers will be showing off their finest discounted wares all weekend long at Queen Anne’s Annual Sidewalk Sale Saturday and Sunday. Update your wardrobe at Queen Anne Dispatch, get some super summer reading material at Queen Anne Books, update your indoor décor at the ridiculously stylish Charley + May and grab some snacks at the food carts, restaurants and coffee shops that will be happily feeding tired shoppers.
Over in Ballard, you’ve got your choice of salmon or shopping. In conjunction with the 2011 Ballard Seafood Fest, those crazy Norwegians are also hosting a Sidewalk Sale. Starting today, July 7 and lasting until Sunday, July 10, Ballard’s finest retailers are slashing prices and taking their goods outside (at least from 11:00am – 6:00pm). Can’t miss retailers include Velouria (celebrating their birthday with 20% off storewide!!), Horseshoe, Blackbird and Field House.
