SPL: Summer Reading

I heart the Library. I’m there probably 3-5 times a week, sometimes with no purpose at all. I just like it there. Maybe it was all my years wishing I was a dorky librarian, but alas I always get excited when Seattle libraries have free events going on. Here’s a few that caught my eye that I think every one could enjoy:

-DANCE at the International District Community Center, Thursday: You and your kids can learn how to dance like a hip-hopster. These are the days I wish I had a kid, mainly to be able to do silly things like learn Afro-Brazilian dance for free.

-Hands-on Henna at the West Seattle Branch, Friday: Learn how to do your own Henna? Why yes, I always wanted to do this!

-Raptors at the Ballard Branch, Friday: Ack! The peeps at the Woodland Park Zoo are bringing real live birds of prey. That means you get to touch skulls and owl pellets, what fun.
