Hooray, it’s here. Free music all summer long for that hour that you just need to get off your ass and do something outside. Instead of spending money at Sephora, like some people (cough cough) head to the Bank of America Plaza today for some folk-rock.
Kris Orlowski & The Passenger String Quartet is totally new to me, and that’s what I love about this summer long series. Sure, mainstays like The Dusty 45s are always a crowd pleaser – but it’s these never heard before bands that I love to discover during my lunch break. These folk-rockers sound like an easy-listening kind of band and sometimes that’s just what I need at noon, so I can go back to my cube with a clear head.
You can check out the rest of the Summer Concert Series every Wednesday and Friday, noon-1:30, at various locations around downtown Seattle until “summer” ends.
