Viva Volterra: $30 for $50 Worth of Food and Wine

Our official fine dining deal of the day comes from Volterra, a Ballard restaurant that serves up delicious food and wine in Ballard and is a huge supporter of the Seattle International Film Festival. In celebration of another successful SIFF, they’re running a special promotion for their twitter followers- $30 for a $50 gift certificate to Volterra.

I know that in the age of highly-restricted, read-the-fine-print-or-lose-your-money online coupons, it’s natural to be suspicious of an offer this good, but I’ll vouch for this one. The folks at Volterra aren’t scheming some shady bait and switch- you can use the gift certificate at any time (limit 1 per table) and it won’t suddenly lose it’s value after 90 days  (the $50 is good for one year from the date of purchase; afterward, it simply retains it’s $30 face value). It’s just a good restaurant running its own good promotion. I highly recommend that you take advantage of it- Volterra’s food is pretty delicious, they have a great wine list, and they seem like good, community-minded, arts-supporting people. Make sure you follow them on twitter (@VolterraBallard) for the latest on their other promotions and daily specials. And enjoy!
