Okay guys, I wore a skirt to work today WITHOUT tights- that means two things: I seriously need to invest in some self-tanner and a pedicure (definitely time to hit up Stylus Salon’s happy hour) and summer has officially begun. We’ve got a good 10 weeks of decent weather in front of us now, so it’s time to maximize your outdoor time and store up Vitamin D supplies for the other 42 crappy weeks. And that includes your workout regimen (yes, Mr. and Ms. Gym Rat, I’m talking to you). Get off the treadmill and get your sweat on outside. We’ve told you about some wonderful free and affordable ways to work out before, but here’s another one- FREE Zumba and Yoga classes at Seattle Center now through August 24th.
Love to dance? Can you feel the rhythm of the night? Then skip happy hour (I know, I know, but a little more excercise means you can eat more cake with less guilt) and take the FREE Tuesday evening Zumba class. Starting today, and happening every Tuesday evening through August, free drop-in Zumba classes will take place on the Fisher Pavillion’s rooftop from 6:00-7:00pm. Shake and tighten your booty while we’ve still got light.
If Zumba’s not your thing, then plan on spending your Wednesday lunchtime taking a FREE Gentle Yoga class. Show up every Wednesday at 11:30 on the Exhibition Hall Lawn and stretch, breathe and downward-dog your troubles away. Classes are compliments of Home Yoga in Queen Anne.
These classes will not only firm your thighs, they’ll remind you of how awesome this city is so you can have something to hold onto in January. So go get movin’!
