Weekend Round-Up: 4/29-5/1

In case you missed it, someone’s getting married today. And luckily we all don’t have to fly over to England, buy an expensive gift or have small talk with royalty. We can watch the parade happen in our pjs, eating crumpets and drinking tea all on Youtube for free! Now if only we can attend all weddings like that. Here’s your weekend round-up gang:

-Okay, it’s not necessarily cheap but I’ve wanted to check out Twisted Flicks for awhile now. For any Mystery Science Theater nerds, this should be right up your alley. Kronos: Ravager of Planets is on tonight and if you bring a canned good you’ll get a $1 off your ticket price. It’s all about the savings, yo.

-I hope you signed up for Sew Up Seattle or Green Point Acupuncture this weekend! In case you missed yesterday’s post, check em out.

-The taco truck challenge is on like Donkey Kong. Wait in line, eat delicious tacos, repeat.

-Go to Motion Boardshop on Saturday to a) find out about their DVD premier – Drop: My Life Downhill b) to check out the new clothing line or c) get some freebies and snacks.

-For $5 check out a 10-hour music marathon at Town Hall this Sunday.

-More May Day fun – this one at Capitol Hill’s newest park.

-Just added: Technically, this happens after the weekend ends, but why not schedule something fun and FREE for Monday? Dry Soda is hosting an Open House on Monday, May 2, from 5:00 – 8:00 pm. Stop by for some FREE samples, taste some low-sugar Dry Soda-based cocktails, and check out the Dry Soda Truck before it embarks on a nationwide tour. RSVP here or email kate@drysoda.com to ensure they have enough freebies to go around.

And that’s about it folks. Leave us comments below, check us out on Facebook, follow us on Twitter and above all us have a fabulous weekend. We love you all.
