Twofer Thursday: Sign up for freebies!

This is gonna be short and sweet because I have a lot going on this week (did that rhyme? ugh, I hate when that happens). Anyway, here we go:

-Sew Up Seattle is such a great program for all ages, genders and levels of sewers. I’ve gone a few times and made many cute, albeit it beginner, pieces. They have their own sewing machines and enough fabric to build a city, but you’re welcome to bring your own especially if you’re really trying to learn. If you don’t come to get your craft on, you should still stop by for the free fabric alone. They won’t judge you – in fact, they’ll thank you and ask you to take more.

This Saturday’s class you can make aprons! I made mine last year and it hasn’t fallen apart yet. The classes usually fill up, but what seems to happen is about half the people flake last minute – especially on sunny days. Call to register for this week’s free class at 206-784-7117 or email the very sweet organizer at sewupseattle@yahoo.com

-If my first post about Green Point Acupuncture didn’t entice you to check them out, maybe their next deal will. Their pay-what-you-can scale (between $15-40 is appreciated) is a nice reprieve from the normally expensive acupuncture places I’ve reached out to. Both the docs have degrees from Beijing University of Chinese Medicine and the soothing environment makes for the perfect cat nap when you need to destress/fix sinus issues/etc.

This Sunday they’re offering a special deal – FREE ACUPUNCTURE FOR ALL! Whether you’ve gone there every week, get your acupuncture elsewhere or have never been pricked before, experience an hour of relaxation and pinning – on them (don’t be scared, if I can do it so can you). Just make sure you schedule today before this amazing one-time deal gets all booked up.
