Bingo!

I love my Kinect as much as the next person (seriously, I do), but I have a special place in my heart for old-school games as well. Especially bingo. Maybe it’s the trailer park blood running through my veins, but you give me a couple of bingo boards and a good stamper and just watch as the trash talk begins. That’s why I got so excited when I found out that one of my favorite local charitable organizations, The World is Fun, is hosting a Bingo night at one of my favorite bars, Auto Battery.

Don’t assume that bingo equals hyper-competitive biddies in church basements- TWIF calls the event “Not Your Grandmother’s Bingo” and promises to spice things up with a “bingo/trivia/physical challenge hybrid.” I don’t know what that means exactly, but I do know that since Auto Battery is hosting, there may be some amazing hot dogs, cold beer and possibly some shuffleboard involved. A $10 donation to The World is Fun buys you an entire night of fast and furious bingo play, and food (um, delicious Po Dogs, anybody?) and drinks at Auto Battery are so affordable that even my super-cheap employer sprung for a holiday party there last year (and yes, I planned it, so it was awesome).

The games begin at 8:00 pm- don’t be late!
