Sometimes I write about really glamorous stuff- amazing food, good wine, high fashion. Today’s topic definitely doesn’t fall into that category, but it’s a lot more important than great happy hours or free cupcakes. Today, we’re talking about taxes (boo) and the awesome FREE tax help offered by Seattle Public Libraries (yay).

Through April 17, 11 branches of SPL are offering FREE advice on your taxes. Whether you don’t know where to start or just want somebody to double-check what TurboTax told you, you might as well take advantage of this free resource. I mean, who wants to do their taxes alone?
Drop-in help is available at the following locations: Central, Broadview, Lake City, Northeast, Northgate, Queen Anne, Ranier and Southwest. Appointments can be made ahead of time at the following locations: Ballard, Columbia, Douglass-Truth, Rainier Beach, or the Southwest Branch. For more information, go here.
