Hopefully you have off today, for Prezzies Day and all. If you do and you’re not at Stevens or sleeping in, then you must be doing that other dirty S word. Yep, that’s right. Shopping. And out of all those sales going on there’s one that really caught my attention. But be warned, it involves going to the totally overwhelming, but highly addictive Ikea.

Here’s the gist of the sale. Today is your last day to eat at Ikea’s restaurant and then deduct your dining bill from any home furnishings purchase over $100. There are a few catches, like the $100 must be before tax. The food must be eaten right then and there. There can only be one restaurant receipt per store discount. The home furnishing purchase must be made the same day as the restaurant purchase. And the kicker: the deal is not valid for Bistro or SWEDISH food Market purchases (although, I think you can still get your meatballs on if you eat them there – but I would check to be sure).
All those minor rules aside, I still think this is a pretty rockin’ deal. Especially for families who need a new entertainment system or bed or desk or all three. If that’s you, pack everyone in that big ass SUV of yours and get everything on the menu. After all, you deserve something for free after doing all that shopping.
