Now that I split a car with my fiance, I’m instantly reminded of all the reasons I gave up owning a car when I first moved to Seattle.
1. They’re expensive to repair.
2. I don’t trust mechanics.
So, I was super excited when I discovered Pull A Part. This completely self serve fix it yourself auto recycling yard is great for all those wannabe mechanics out there.

The admission to get in is just one whole dollar and then you get to scour the place for your specific part. With a hand stamp you can come and go as you please throughout the day. And if you’re worried that all they might have are a bajillion door handles, don’t be. The yard has everything from AC Compressors to Windshield Glass and at real good prices, to boot.
And sure, you have to know how to actually install an AC Compressor or a Windshield Glass, but if you learn how to do it yourself then I bet you anything you’ll feel way better going to Pull a Part than paying some shady mechanic a small fortune.
