For all the kids who begged their moms to sign them up for karate lessons (even if they were taught by a high school wrestling coach named Steve at the local community center) after they stayed up all night watching poorly-dubbed kung-fu movies, this one’s for you. Tonight, Monday, November 8, at 7:00 pm, Central Cinema presents a FREE double feature of two classic kung fu films: IP Man (the true story of Wing Chan, aka the guy who taught Bruce Lee how to be a badass), and Mismatched Couples (I’ve never heard of this one, but they say it involves martial arts and breakdancing, so I’m totally in).
So call your sensei (or your best friend), tie on your hachimaki, and head out to Central Cinema tonight for some rainy-day entertainment. Tickets are FREE at the door, but as usual, it’s probably a good idea to show up a little early to make sure you get in.
