And now, your moment of zen… At least that’s how I feel at about 3:00 every afternoon when I brew my afternoon cup o’ tea (thanks mostly to my neighboring co-worker’s amazing desktop electric tea-kettle, which allows me to avoid a trip up to the scary corporate cafeteria for my hot water needs). I love tea for many reasons- both its curative properties (and by “curative” I often mean “caffeinated,” especially mid-afternoon) and the ritual that goes along with brewing each steamy mug.
If you don’t know what I’m talking about right now, you aren’t drinking good tea, which means you are totally missing out. It’s time to expand your tea horizons with the good stuff, like the handmade teas from myTeaShelf.com. Whether you’re looking for a stimulating chai, a antioxidant-rich green or a soothing herbal blend, myTeaShelf has just what you’re looking for. Each blend is heavily researched to maximize taste and therapeutic properties by a local Seattle tea fanatic- Pineapple Ginger soothes an ill tummy, Honeypeach is your go-to cure for sniffles and winter malaise, and any of her super-healthy white teas will help keep you from getting sick in the first place.
To really gild the lily, myTeaShelf has now started carrying gorgeous glass teapots! Brighten up looonnnggg winter nights by making a pot of tea and watching it brew in front of your eyes. Each teapot includes a filter, making it perfect for any of the loose-leaf teas available on myTeaShelf.com.
Since myTeaShelf.com knows that yay-today readers are all about the deals, they’ve offered 2 fantabulous offers for our readers.
My favorite tea is anything with black licorice. I love the sweeness it gives without sugar. Second favorite would be a mango tea to turn into iced tea.
@patricia- i LOVE licorice in tea for the same reason. as an added bonus, it’s great for fighting adrenal fatigue, which we all seem to need help with these days.
Oh I love Earl Grey Tea, but I try to drink Cranberry or Burdock root tea for health!
I adore pretty much any type of fruity herbal. I like green teas with fruit too but prefer the herbals.
I’m all about green tea! I’ve also had market spice tea from Pike Place Market and that was awesome! It’s so sweet and flavorful.
Ooh, it’s really hard to pick a favorite tea, as it often depends on my mood and the season. Lately, I’ve been into Genmaicha and fruity greens, but I also love some Earl Grey or Pu-er on the weekends.
I love Choice Organic’s Licorice/Peppermint Tea. It’s sweet and invigorating! Discovered it while browsing the Northwest Tea Festival last year.
