Being a NotMartha follower, I stumbled upon Suspect and Fugitive and totally dug her art. Then I realized that I entered one of her contests awhile back and won something! So when I heard she’s doing more contests I got all excited, did a handstand and wrote this post.

What is Suspect and Fugitive, exactly? Glad you asked. According to her Flickr page, the artist did a year long project back in 2008 where “I make an item a day out of suspect (questionable) and fugitive (non archival) materials.” Whatever the logic is behind any given series, the paintings are precious. Whether it’s a heart stabbed with pins or an adorable ladybug, her series of deers and her collection on Stupid Fucking Awesome are simply perfect for your blank wall space.
