If there were ever a festival you had to go to in Seattle, I would hands down without a doubt tell you to go to Reverb. Forget the hoopla (and price tag) that is Bumbershoot, Sasquatch and Zoo Tunes. And instead go to one festival that represents local good times music.
From 3pm to 2am, on October 9th, you can enjoy this all day event in Ballard at your leisure. With over 60 bands and 10 venues you definitely have a wide range of options. You can listen to Caspar Babypants at Salmon Bay Eagles, go into the Tractor for some Ravenna Woods and then bang your head to the likes of Feral Children at the Sunset – all in one day. There are so many acts I’ve never heard of, but I’m always amazed when I enjoy them. And I know you will too – possibly for FREE (but more on that in a second).
At just $10 for access to all the venues you can see everything or just one band and still feel like you’re getting your money’s worth. No convenience fees and no claustrophobia makes this concert goer a happy one.
And right now, thanks to the good people at Seattle Weekly and Reverb, 2 Yay-Today readers can get a General Admission wristband for FREE! Simply write a comment on this post as to which band you’re excited to see. We’ll pick two lucky ducky winners on October 4th and voila, you’ll be saving yourself $10 and having a grand ol’ time.
Yay!!!
I really love The Feral Children and am voting for them to go to Iceland for the Reverb contest: http://www.twitvid.com/CG1ME
