As a not-so-closeted fan of all things Bravo, I was already excited about Top Chef: Just Desserts premiering tomorrow, Wednesday, September 15. But now that I found out they’re celebrating this new Top Chef spinoff by buying me dessert, I can barely contain myself.
To promote the premiere of the new, sugar-laden reality show, Bravo has teamed up with OpenTable.com and declared September 15, 2010 “Free Dessert Day.” Simply make a reservation through OpenTable for Wednesday at any participating restaurant (here’s a list of Seattle pastry chefs giving away their delicious desserts) and receive a FREE dessert with the purchase of any two entrees. (Yeah, that does mean you have to go halfsies, but it’s still FREE!)
With 34 restaurants in the Seattle area participating, you’re sure to find something delicious to end your meal.
UPDATE: If you don’t have time for a fancy dinner out but still need something to satisfy your sweet tooth, a bunch of local bakeries, including Cupcake Royale and Top Pot Doughnuts, are getting in on the celebration as well. Mention “Free Dessert Day” and get a free treat just for being you!
