Discovering a super-chic new boutique in Upper Queen Anne? That’s not surprising. But finding an AFFORDABLE super-chic new boutique in that same area? That’s a bit more shocking. But if you wander off Queen Anne Ave and head to the corner of 6th Ave West and Crockett, that’s exactly what you’ll find at Meadow.
Meadow features clothing, accessories and housewares all arranged skillfully by store owner Shelley Hall. It sounds like a bit of a mish mash, but what it means is that right in one of the most bourgouise neighborhoods in Seattle you can pick up a new dress, a new purse by Ecobag, and a great hostess gift (like a great-smelling soy wax candle) for under $100. That’s right- most clothing items run under $50, and I couldn’t find a purse for more than $60.
So don’t be afraid- make the trek up the hill and get something pretty. You’ll save so much money that you may even be able to afford a drink at Canlis afterwards. Or, more realistically, you can at least afford something better than Dick’s.
