Yay-today loves supporting our local farmers markets, and we really love trading old stuff for new stuff. This Thursday from 3:00 – 7:00 pm, stop by the Queen Anne Farmer’s Market and you can do both at the same time if you stop by the Friends of Seattle Public Library’s booth, where they’ll be hosting a Cookbook Exchange. Get rid of the cookbooks you never use anymore and pick up one that’s new to you. Not only will you be getting new culinary inspiration for free, you’ll probably end up helping somebody else out too.
If you’ve never been to the Queen Anne Farmer’s Market, this is the perfect excuse to swing by. On the corner of Crockett and Queen Anne Ave, it’s held every Thursday afternoon and evening from May 20 – October 7, the QAFM plays charming host to vendors offering farm-fresh veggies, super sweet summer fruits, pastured meats and eggs and all kinds of delicious dinner options. (Maximus/Minimus and the Skillet make occasional stops, and Parfait, my favorite ice cream in the city, is a regular attendee.) So go trade your old cookbook for something inspiring and you’ll be able to find all the ingredients you need to make a great dinner!
holy crap, this is awesome and i’ll be there anyway!
